One of the things I want to work on this year is creating space to slow down. Life is so fast paced and busyness abounds in our culture. The rat-race and our road runner society often don’t allow us moments to be fully present. Time is something we can never get back. So, let’s try not to “throw away today for tomorrow”.
We can all benefit from asking ourselves what slowing down means and finding the simple things we can do to get more pleasure from life. Perhaps cooking a meal and eating it while cell phones are in another room, or taking a bath instead of a shower, reading a good book, getting a good night’s sleep, connecting with nature, connecting with people.
One of my goals for 2018 is truly being there!
