Congratulations! Doesn’t it feel liberating to know you’ll be able to use tampons if you need to? They’ll get easier to use each time. I use tampax compak as I prefer the plastic applicators to the cardboard ones.

I use the yes lube – the oil and water based ones together – and it’s the best lube I’ve found. I experienced some stinging with some of the other lubes but nothing at all with these. Definitely recommend using yes!

I’m loving yes! Best lube I’ve found so far but would love to hear of any other good ones!

Hi, I know exactly what you mean! We recently went back to our beautiful wedding venue to stay for the night. Although our wedding day was magical, the wedding night was a bit frustrating. This time, we were able to relax and make love and I almost felt like we were reliving our wedding night but in the right way, it was wonderful! A year ago I would never have thought this possible, thank you so much Dr Pacik & team!

Hi Katie, welcome to the forum. This forum has provided me with lots of support & advice, and I found it so reassuring to find I was not alone anymore in suffering with vaginismus – I’m sure you’ll find the same. I’m 32, suffered with vaginismus for years and like you I never knew the cause. I had the Botox procedure in January and it has been successful. Please feel free to ask any questions that you have.

These are really useful posts – thank you! I have noticed stinging with some of the lubricants – astroglide & ky jelly in particular. so it is reassuring to know I’m not alone in suffering discomfort. I will have a look for the yes brand – this is really useful as I’ve tried several different lubricants. Sylk has been comfortable for me too if anyone has seen that one.

Not sure if I helps, but I only really dilated with the pink prior to intercourse. For a few days post procedure, I dilated with the big blue but I found it a bit uncomfortable. I actually found it better – physically & emotionally – to dilate with the pink and get really comfortable with this.

We’ve managed to transition to intercourse but it does feel mechanical so I’d be really interested to hear your advice. I’ve just bought the book “loving sex” by Dr Laura berman and I’m hoping it wil give us ideas for positions etc. Is there anything else? I feel kind of naive about it all and feel like I’ve got a lot of years to catch up on!

We’ll miss your from the forum but good luck with the surgery, I’m sure it will all go well. Rest lots & make a speedy recovery.
