Hi 23 years! It has been about 20 years since I first notice there was something wrong with me and the ability to achieve penetration. I went to see numerous doctors (Easily 15+) in Mexico, California, Texas and Pennsylvania, none of them were able to help me. I tried pretty much everything that there was out there to try with zero success. I believe Vaginismus make us stronger women, it is not easy to go through life feeling confused with no answers to our condition while we wonder why, why us! Nevertheless, we keep pushing forward and believe that the day will come. One of the best decisions that I have ever made was to see Dr. Pacik, I had my procedure on 9/2011 and on 11/2011 I was able to achieve painless penetration. I could not believe it was happening after so many years and many attempts! The best of lucks to you. I too, received incredible support from Dr. Pacik, his staff and Heather34 and will always be very thankful for it.

Staying away from any noise (TV, hubby, boyfriend, telephone…) helped me during the dilating stage. I used to go to my bedroom, close the door and my eyes and I used to imagine that I was just laying in some peaceful place. I was doing this during the last couple of hours of my day, after having dinner and sometimes, a half glass of wine.

Hi Heather. I was anxious about making the first move to contact Dr. Pacik’s staff because of my fear of feeling judged just like all those doctor’s visits that I had during 7 years of trying to get someone to help me with vaginismus. Dr. Pacik offers that you speak with someone who went through the treatment and achieved results before you take the decision to schedule your treatment, this was a wonderful experience since it was the first time I was vocalizing my experience with someone who knew exactly what I was going through. After this, Dr. Pacik offered to call me and he did, he responded all my questions with great respect and patience. I schedule my treatment the day after and can’t be more grateful and happy with my decision. I have been vaginismus-free for over one year now!

Hi Heather. I panicked when Dr. Pacik showed us the speculum, even when I had Mr. Blue inside me. The panic went away little by little with the help of Dr. Pacik who asked me to touched it and assured that it wasn’t sharp at all (even when the metal looks like it will cut you). Then, I took Mr. Blue out and proceed with inserting the speculum. This was so easy that I bearly could believe it!!! Dr. Pacik was great at explaining every step and helping me to know that everything was going to be just fine. A couple of months later, I had my first successful OB-GYN exam at a regular doctor’s office! I could not stop smiling on my way home while driving, I wonder if people thought I was crazy, LOL!!

Hi Arose! This happened to me as well on my first months post-procedure and later learned that my dizzy spell could had been caused by a state of nervousness. I know that you will have better luck next time with tampons, have a great Sunday evening!

Hi Lesoc. I just want to wish you the best of lucks on your procedure, you will soon find out that it will be one of the best decisions of your life! I think that we all, women with vaginismus, have been through so many obstacles that at the end of this journey, you will find yourself as a stronger woman, one that is capable to inspire and help others despite anything else that could be going on with our lives! Please keep us posted and don’t forget that we are here!

I just listened to the song and I have to say that the lyrics and video are so powerful that I hope it reaches many women. Thank you so much, Kazia! You are a talented girl!

Hi Heather. Naturopaths also believe that there are foods that increase the chances of achieving conception. You can google this or even ask for some books at your local bookstore, there is plenty of information out there! Out of the top of my head, I know that blueberries, almonds and spinach are ‘fertility-friendly’ foods. So is, any food containing omega acids on them, such as salmon! Just wanted to share this, as we too, will start trying in 2013! Hugs, Diana.

Hi ladies. Our favorite position so far is side by side, where he can start penetration slowly and increase the rythm and depth as we go. We have learned that this position allows access to some other erogenous zones (i.e breasts) at the same time. Thanks for the book recommendation!

Thank you so much for encouraging us to believe that vaginismus could be cured after so many failed attempts! Nick and I are very happy that we took the decision to visit Dr. Pacik and that we won the battle last year as well! Love, Diana.

Welcome Olivia! I had the procedure done last year and achieved painfree intercourse about 7 weeks later, this was huge for us!! We dated for 7 years and have been married for another 8 and we just began making love last year. We saw so many doctors and got so frustrated of their reactions, I was ‘the girl that couldn’t have sex’, sometimes they would go out of the room and bring another doctor or doctors just to have me repeat my history to them! I wondered if they were thinking I was joking since I would go away from the appointment with no help from them whatsoever! Today, I can tell you that you are in the right path to overcome vaginismus! Please keep us posted on your progress.
