ParticipantHi everyone, I recently mentioned to Dr. Pacik a kidney infection that I suffered with. I had been seeing some medical professionals in a different part of the country not long ago. They were helping me with dilating only. I was doing good with the dilating but a few months ago, I had a very bad kidney infection, medically known as pyelonephritis. E.coli was found in the blood tests. I most likely got this infection from the dilation. Make sure that no fluids travel from the rectum to the vagina. This caused a setback for me as you can imagine. The illness hit me all of a sudden, I had no idea it was coming on. So be careful when dilating. Take care everyone!

ParticipantThank you very much for your wonderful advice. This is all good to know and something I needed to understand further. I am dilating on my own but I still think I will need the procedure as some point soon. Thanks again. Have a nice week.

ParticipantWow, that’s unbelievable. I will definitely help any way that I can and I have been thinking about it lately. I would not want other women to start out their adult lives the way I have. Yes, sex is part of life, but also, being able to have the GYN exams is so, so important. If I had a daughter, I would never let vaginismus get in the way of living her life. In fact, I have already mentioned Dr. Pacik to two doctors, one a dermatologist and one a gynecologist. Fortunately, they were aware of the Botox for this and that’s a good thing!

ParticipantGood morning. I would like to kindly ask for clarification by one of the administrators on the statement made by Dr. Pacik “average length of failed treatments in the more severe vaginismus patients is 7.5 years”. Thank you. Have a nice day.

ParticipantThank you so much Nakatilab! Talking to you, I feel so much better. I think I will go up to New Hampshire to see Dr. Pacik. Also, congratulations to you. I am so happy for you!! You have made me feel so much better and thank you for responding today. I spoke to Dr. Pacik and he is so understanding and Janet Pacik also. I have also spoken to a few of the girls in the office and they are very, very helpful. Have a good night!
