    hello dr. Pacick 😀
It has been 3 years already.  My partner Juan and I have been doing great.  My vaginismus is almost non existing and I have you to thank for that. I believe with what I am dealing with now is pure anxiety. Everytime we are intimate there are no problems, no pain whatsoever just anxiety.  I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for what you did for me and Juan.  I was in a very dark place before I found you. You have made a huge difference in our lives as I am sure you have in many other women. As soon as i met you,  I could tell I was in a better place.  You’re very caring and compassionate,  everyone can see it just by stepping into the center. We congratulate you on the wonderful 50 years of your career. To say you will be missed seems like such an understatement, I wish you the best in life.

Hi Becca, I’m Stephanie. I got my procedure done February 7th, 2012. I remember dilating with the silicone dilators and how uncomfortable they were and how they would pinch on their way out! They were so annoying.. So I tried the glass dilators and immediately fell in love with them. The size was perfect enough were they wouldn’t stick out and so I was able to do everything I did on a daily basis while dilating with them! I would do chores, drive, shop 😀 .. I mean EVERYTHING. What really helped me was the right lube and the right panties 🙂 I LOVE the oil lube from Yes! It’s really good because while you apply it to the dilator, it doesn’t slide off like a water based one will and it’s less messy! Having the right lubrication ALWAYS made dilating easier and not so uncomfortable .. The more the merrier 😉 ! Also what helped the dilators from sliding out while walking were the gauzes I would get from rite aid .. I’m sure you could get them at any pharmacy store..They are as long as a pad but way thicker so there was no way for the dilator to slide out.. It was always kept in place.. Eventually when I became a pro (like you will also 😀 ) I just used a regular thin pad.. It would slide out very little, but I didn’t mind it .. I think your body just gets used to it that you don’t even notice it anymore !

If I missed anything or if you have any other questions I am more than happy to answer them! Be really patient and never give up. Always keep trying.. I know there are hard days when you feel like giving up .. But don’t !! It will all pay off .. Trust me 😀

Heather, I was interested in what you posted but the links do not lead to anywhere except comstock and erotica, do you have updated info on the other ones?

I loved putting the surgical gauze underneath the dilator, it was so thick there was no way the dilator was slipping out! I used to get them at rite aid, but then started using maxi pads, and now toilet paper..ha. They all help 🙂

Maybe you’re pushing it in at a wrong angle. I used to have the same problem before and would tell my boyfriend it wasn’t getting any better, until one day he walked into the restroom and said, no wonder, your pushing it in the opposite way! But if its not, maybe try inserting it in a different position, were your muscles are all relaxed, I sometimes would only be able to insert it laying down, but then got better standing up …

you should try the YES oil lube. It’s organic and naturally warming. I don’t know if it’s like that for everyone, but my boyfriend and I noticed it – we LOVE it!

To make sure they don’t fall out all you need is to make sure you put on a thick gauze between your glass dilator and panty. I get mine at rite-aid. they are called surgical dressings. I just fold it and since it is so thick it stops the glass dilator from falling out. You can also use a really thick maxi pad like one from kotex, but I feel that the surgical dressings are better since you can fold them however to adjust to your body.

oh and thanks for the comments everyone, it makes me really happy that I can help! 😀

To me, having spontaneous sex is what works best for me. If I dilate just to have sex and I know I only dilated to have sex, I start panicking and then it just doesn’t go to well. I just dilate daily while my boyfriend Juan is at work. Then if whenever we do have sex it always works out, it’s not planned, I am just confident it will be enjoyable and fun because I dilated earlier and daily just like I was told. So, maybe you just need to relax and be confident in yourself 🙂 . Having pain free spontaneous sex was achieved 25 days post procedure.
3/3/12- It was around midnight when Juan was sleeping, and I took the opportunity to just get on top of him and see if I would be able to be successful in achieving intercourse. For the first time, I started to feel like I was normal for once. It was something so spontaneous and different for us. But it worked, we where so happy!
It is especially fun if you try it while your husband is sleeping, I am sure he will LOVE it! Oh and another thing, I always make sure I have lots of lube!…the more the better 😉

HI mshopgirl, I have been using the glass dilators for 40 days and I also experienced the same thing on how you say that the glass dilators hold water. I use a blow dryer to dry them in between when I am not using them, just put your dryer on a lower heat setting or even on cool. If you still experience slight dampness just wear a pad or panty liner . Also if the dilators tend to slip right out of you, you can buy surgical dressing pads or wear a thick maxi pad. I usually always do this since I dilate and do chores around the house or even go shopping 🙂 .
I hope this helps and make things easier…and Congratulations on your progress! it will only get better!

I LOVE the new glass dilators, they are so much more comfortable than the plastic ones.I could walk normally and sit in them more comfortable than the plastic ones. They are also very easy to just slip out. They don’t tug or pinch the skin while coming out. Thank you, all of you who helped making something that makes our lives and the dilating process much easier!

Hi, my name is Stephanie and I am 20 years old. I have had secondary vaginismus for two years, I recently got the procedure done about two weeks ago.
It all started when I got a diaper rash by using Always feminine pads. That night my boyfriend and I where going to have sex, but as he was about to enter me, it hurt so bad and caused me to flinch. Ever since that day, my body associated sex with pain and would tense up every time . My Vaginismus wasn’t bad at all at the time. It was just a little tensing up, my legs would get tired just because I was so tense; but that was about it. We where still able to enjoy sex, it was just taking a bit longer for him to fully be inside of me, and I would just have to keep reminding myself to relax. I got tired of me reacting like that, so I looked up the symptoms on google, found out it was Vaginismus, and went to my gyno. I explained to her what I had and she just stared at me, ” it’s probably just a yeast infection,” she said. In my head I thought, she’s a doctor, she knows everything, she is probably right besides I am just a normal person what do I know? As I laid down on the bed she looked at me and said, “Are you sexually active?” I said yes, but that lately I had been tensing up and had been experiencing burning and may have Vaginismus. She looked at her nurse and said “Give me the larger speculum” She began to insert it, my butt lifted off and my legs closed; I began to cry. She looked at me and said “You have to relax, you have to relax” She didn’t even give me any time she just pushed my stomach down and forced the dilator inside of me. Since then my Vaginismus became its worst.
Two years later, I received my Cosmopolitan in the mail. I read the article and found Dr Pacik. If it wasn’t for that, it may have taken me longer to have found him or not find him at all. I got my procedure 2/7/12. I am able to dilate daily without any pain. My boyfriend Juan and I have not tried intercourse yet. I am really nervous and scared to try it, I think that’s why we haven’t attempted it…

I just got the procedure 2-7-12. I was super nervous the day of the procedure, but to me, meeting the other ladies was what kept me happier. I was so excited that I was finally going to meet someone that was just like me. I was so happy that i no longer would feel alone like I had been feeling for the past two years. Right when we all where done with our procedure there was lots of laughter; about how everyone felt lost, etc. Everyone seemed to connect right away. The curtains where hardly ever closed unless we where about to dialate, even then, we would talk to each other and see how we where doing or make jokes about the size of the dilators. We even started naming them after famous people! haha. My boyfriend came with me, he was the only male there, you could imagine all the jokes he got. It was so much fun. This is such a wonderful program. I have now met the most wonderful ladies in my life, because of it. There’s nothing to be nervous about.
