    Thanks!

I have Manchester water as I’m a local! I’m going to try the dishwasher and see what happens. They are clean I know for fact I do wash them. It’s more the 4 that’s cloudy the others are ok. Hmmm could it be my water? It’s not bad just annoying.

    Thanks dr Pacik!

The other night we wanted sex but got home from being out and I did glass 4 and 5 and 6 for 5 minutes each and we had sex with no problem! You are right we don’t need to dilate for the full hour before hand! I had my procedure back in June!

Hmmmm just thought after I posted this…are the glass dilators dishwasher safe? That may help the cloudiness I get. If we carefully stand them on the spoked so they don’t rattle around? Or is a dishwasher to hot? They are made with the same glass Pyrex dishes are made of.

Thanks I’m thinking of putting them in this cute 3 pocket makeup bag I picked up at Marshall’s. It’s padded and will be perfect in my carry on!

    Allie,

Your post gave me tears. Good tears I’m happy things happened for you and your husband. I know we all deal with a lot having V. I had my procedure on 6/9 and I stick to my dialating daily it’s part of my routine after work. We just got over the hump of having sex on my 1 month anniversary of procedure. It was a night of huge celebrating. Now we are working on timing in my end period wise and planning for that baby we’ve been begging for for years. I can’t wait for the day I know I’m going to be a mommy! (Month 1 of sex after procedure I wasn’t successful got my period but that’s ok) I think of this whole baby making process so different then before my procedure. My hubby (married 7 years this Sept 8th) and I are 32 so I feel like I don’t have much time yet I know I am still young and have to get that out of my head. We tried for years to have a baby but my husband could get in me to a point and hit that wall most V patients talk about. It caused stress and lots of arguments and tears. Now things are different we seem way more excited and happy and I feel less stressed about this baby making!!!!

I believe what you say if it wasn’t for finding Dr. P I wouldn’t be where I am today or who I am today!!! I congratulate you and hope you start trying soon for that baby 😉

Allie where are you from? I actually think stress was lifted off my chest since I live 8 mins from the office. What a relief. I hope to hear and read more posts from you. It’s always fun to meet new woman who have delta with the same issues you have.

I agree with 23 years! Dilation should not be a competition. We all move at our own process and we all have our own achievements. Whether it takes us one month or more to dilate to the next dilator we should be proud of ourselves and celebrate. That story broke my heart and I sat reading it with tears. She progressed so well once it was just her in the room I hope she continues to make great achievements. Dr. Pacik is she on the forum? It would be great if she was and we can all chat with her and read about her achievements. I always get very excited and happy when I read other people’s success stories on the form.

Hahaha! I had my procedure 6-9 and I too had my period But it was actually ending so was a lot lighter around my procedure. I then dilated for couple weeks and then had my period again. It definitely was messy I’ll say that but I kept up with it and the middle of my period I had heavy cramping and just was not feeling dilating so I took two days off. You are doing well keep it up!!! Just remember don’t dilate too much only do two hours a day. When I got home I had a few setbacks and wanted to get back to where I was so I was dilating too much and I stress my body out and it was sore. Then I drop down to two hours at night since mornings don’t work for my schedule, and I felt wonderful doing that I progressed right along and at my one-month anniversary I got the 6 in and was amazing!!! Now that I have successfully been able to have sex with my husband I don’t do much with the 6. Can only Deyle about 10 to 15 minutes with it and that 15 minutes is pushing. It’s just a bigger dilator and it sits funny on my vagina. But I have learned now that I’ve had often on sex for about a week now I learned that if I dilate with the six right up to about when we’re going to have intercourse things go so much more smoothly. Don’t worry you will progress to that six in no time! If you have any questions don’t be afraid to ask. That’s what we are all here for.
