    Hello Ladies!
I had my procedure two days ago on Monday 6/2 with cherryblossom123 and Hanna. I was terrified going into it, especially about dilating post procedure. The procedure itself was a breeze. I don’t remember a thing, and I woke up with the largest blue dilator in me!!! I remember waking up and seeing my husband, asking if it worked, and when he said yes, I started crying and couldn’t stop! I was so happy and was in no pain at all. The only time I really experienced discomfort was when I tried to use the restroom and couldn’t but then I took out the large dilator and could urinate just fine. I then put the #4 dilator in with Dr Paciks help to go home and sleep in. Because I really struggle with anxiety and dilation, I had a bit of trouble the next day during dilation. Dr Pacik was so patient and helpful and showed me some tricks using kegel exercises to get past my tight muscle spasm from anxiety. I also had to have my hymen cut due too it being very tight so I had a lot of bleeding and discomfort that first day. Even with my extreme anxiety related to dilation and my difficulty dilating at first, I am happy to say I am now dilating successfully on my own! I had to learn to be patient with myself and to listen to my body and not get discouraged when I couldn’t get the larger dilators in as soon as I would have liked. My husband and I are so happy and we know it only gets better from here!! Dr Paciks treatment has changed our lives and has given us so much hope for the future. I look forward to the day when we can achieve pain free intercourse at last! I know that day will be soon!

It is so wonderful to hear about all of the ladies preparing to have treatment in the next few days and weeks. Best wishes to all those having their treatments in May!! I can’t wait to hear how it goes for all of you! I am less than a month away from my 6/2 treatment and I am starting to get really excited! My thoughts and prayers go out to all you ladies! Glad we are all in this together 🙂

    Hello Everyone!
I am also a June patient! 6/2 to be exact. The same day as you, Hanna! I am traveling from across the country (West Coast) for this procedure and will be extending my stay one day on the front end and two days on the tail end. My husband and I have never been to New Hampshire and we are excited to explore the area!

I, too, am VERY nervous about dilation! I have not been able to have an exam or have anything penetrate down there and have one of the most severe cases. I am also nervous about going under anesthesia. I have never been under any anesthesia before and I am worried it won’t knock me out all the way! Probably a silly fear, but a fear nonetheless.

Also, to Heather who has already gone through this, how did you do with keeping to a dilation schedule post procedure once you got home? I am a nurse and I work long hours and have to get up really early for work and I sometimes don’t get home till around 8pm. How much time did you spend dilating per day?

Thanks in advance for answering my questions! I am very excited for the procedure and look forward to meeting the other women who are scheduled on the same day as me.
