Hi ladies. The second newsletter, How to Make Friends with Dilators, is now referenced on the website at:

    http://www.vaginismusmd.com/vaginismus-resources/vaginismus-newsletter-archive/ins-outs-vaginal-dilation/

This is an excellent resource ladies and includes important information on the ins and outs of vaginal dilation. Specific topics include: Styles and Materials of Dilators, Getting Started with Dilation, Anxiety Control, Advanced Dilation Techniques, and Transitioning to Intercourse.

An excerpt from “Getting Started with Dilation” includes:

    How much, How long?
Dilation for two hours a day and sleeping with a comfortable sized dilator every second night seems to be of great benefit for most of our patients. Keeping a daily log of your dilation allows you to see the progress you are making and holds you accountable to yourself.”

An excerpt from “Advanced Dilation Techniques” includes:

“The Lelo Liv Vibrating Dilator can be very helpful in advancing with dilation. It is between the #4 and #5 dilator in size, incorporates vibration in the dilation process and helps remove the clinical aspects of dilation especially helpful when transitioning to intercourse.”

In addition to the myriad of topics concerning vaginal dilation, there is also a powerful patient testimonial referenced (Vaginismus for more than 30 years), an excellent Blog (Dilator Advancement, Getting Unstuck), and a helpful Forum post (Sleeping with Dilators).

I encourage you to read this excellent second newsletter concerning all aspects of vaginal dilation and I welcome your comments here.
