Hi Haitham. This is such a wonderful post and truly brings tears to my eyes. I’ve been wondering how you and Sumaia have been doing post-procedure and after your trip to the States and this is beyond wonderful to read! Huge, huge congratulations to you both!!! What a truly amazing journey it has been for you both and you traveled from so far. I would love to try to spread the word about the condition of vaginismus and Dr. Pacik’s treatment program in the Middle East as well as there may be so many more women suffering in silence and not knowing what they have or that there is a cure out there that works! I love reading your posts and can’t wait to read more soon!!

Part 2

Few days later, we were in NYC enjoying our time over there, I was not really in rush to have intercourse until making sure Sumaia is completely ready for it. However, in the valentine day, as we were foreplaying, we decided to try intercourse! we just made a decision! way not? lets try it! It was a good time in a good place! we tried and it worked!! I could not really believe it! It was just a second honeymoon!

The first intercourse may be painful some time, however, just keep dilating and try having intercourse until we find yourself totally cured. recently, we had intercourse twice at a night! That’s need some work to get it 🙂

Thank you so much for writing your story and so importantly for letting the others know. I have been following your logs and I know how well the two of you are doing. I knew you would be successful. When I asked Sumaia if she can visualize having intercourse, she answered in Arabic “It would be exciting!” At that moment I knew the two of you would be successful!

I just returned from an amazing ISSWSH sexology conference in New Orleans and I am happy to report that vaginismus was a topic of great interest. We are finally reaching out to others. Hormone replacement was also a big topic. Of importance is that the conference was attended by clinicians from a great many specialties including psychologists, sex therapists, sex educators, physical therapists, psychiatrists, Internists, OB-GYN doctors, Urologists, Endocrinologists, Neurologists and other Plastic Surgeons. All of these specialists are interested in the sexual well being of their patients, and together, through a multidisciplinary approach, we are able to make great progress. I will be posting some of the breakthroughs on vaginismusMD Facebook, and I would encourage the readers to read these areas of progress and to “Like” the page so that more people will understand the progress in sexology, far beyond vaginismus.

Please continue to post and give us updates. You have been such a great support for Sumaia. You believed in her, and your love for her was palpable to all of us during the counseling. My heart goes out to the two of you.

Another good news, yesterday was Sumaia’s 31st day post-procedure and she dilated with the blue dilator #6 for 3 HOURS & 17 MINS!!
