The Benefits of Starting HRT Early

There is a lot of misinformation out there about postmenopausal hormone replacement, based on old, misinterpreted studies. The North American Menopause Society (NAMS) has put out a great informational video about the safety and timing of hormone replacement. They recommend seeking treatment sooner rather than later, as it is safer to start HRT earlier, and that starting HRT earlier has been found to confer the most benefit. For the appropriate patients, HRT is safe and effective.

Cathleen also worked at Planned Parenthood for the past 15 years, meeting the obstetrical and gynecological needs of women.
