I started my cycle yesterday, thought I would try this morning to use a tampon(it’s WAY smaller then my dilators, so I wasn’t as scared as before). And I did it! I’m wearing my first tampon ever! WOO HOO! 🙂
That is great news! You are doing so well, Allie! A little advice, sometimes when you go to remove it—it will feel like it is not going to come out. But I promise you it will. Just breathe and keep trying. I’m so happy for you!
This is wonderful, wonderful news Allie! CONGRATS. What brand did you end up using? Also, do you have any suggestions/tips on inserting it that helped you (i.e. did you dilate prior, use any lube, etc.). So, so happy for you!!
And Heather I am using Kotex, regular. I just squatted and inserted it like a dilator. Didn’t use any lube or anything, but that is a good idea. Feels so much better than wearing a pad! Lol! I never thought I would be able to wear tampons!
