How to dispose of medications safely.

Have you ever wondered what to do with medications you have sitting around in your home? Perhaps you have expired medications, opiates or other pain killers around the house? Leaving medications lying around your home that you don’t need does have the potential to be hazardous, especially if you have children in your home. I’m writing this to let you know there is a safe way for you to dispose leftover prescriptions to help prevent pill abuse.

This Saturday, September 29, 2012 is the 5th Annual National Drug Take-Back Day. Thousands of sites have been set up nationwide to collect medications. During the last collection day, 552,161 pounds (276 tons) of unwanted medications were turned in! To find a site near you, go to:
