  hello! My procedure is in February. I was wondering if anybody on this forum has suggestions regarding places to stay in the city during that time? Also, any recommendations for Indian food restaurants locally?

  Patient 2: I’m also booked for the procedure at the end of July – it’s so anxiety provoking and yet it feels like there is finally hope at the same time! I definitely understand your anxiety!!! I think the thing that makes me most anxious right now is my husbands involvement. He definitely wants to be involved – but after such a long time of not being intimate in that way – it’s scary, not to mention the feelings of “what if it doesn’t work!!!” All that said, I am trying to stay optimistic – and clearly there is every reason to be – look at all of the women the procedure has worked for already!!”

  Boston is only one hour to the south and the Atlantic seacoast is 30 minutes east, good reasons to rent a car during your stay.

  My sister and I loved driving over to the coast. We did it the same day as my procedure. I’m sure I looked so funny walking around with my dilator in but it definitely was doable 🙂 But our favorite was taking a trolley tour around Cambridge, and Boston and walking the grounds of Harvard. we both wished that we had more time to tour the area.

  Hi Lotus. If you guys plan a trip to Boston for any of the days you will be here, it’s only about an hour South and is a very fun place to visit and explore.

  Hi Guys,

  we are coming from FAAAR-AWAY to Manchester NH next week to receive Botox treatment by Dr. Pacik, we are so excited with a bit nerve. It’s our first time the U.S, I hope this is the end of my wife’s tragedy…

  In terms of places to go, we’ve booked a room for a week at La quinta Inn to make sure the procedure goes well and then we will be in Boston for few days. We like cafes, skying, skating, Asian food, cinemas, museums, and shopping centers.

  We are very happy that Dr. Pacik and I will get a chance to meet next week. We have maps and brochures in the office of things to do in our surrounding area.   Hi HS. First, you wrote “I hope this is the end of my wife’s tragedy…” I just know it will be and this procedure will go so, so well for her. I had previously struggled with vaginismus for my entire relationship and marriage and went from being unable to insert anything at all without excruciating pain to being able to have successful and pain-free intercourse within 1 week of Dr. Pacik’s procedure. Please know you are in excellent hands with Dr. Pacik, Janet, Ellen, and all of the amazing staff. They have a very, very special way about them and Dr. Pacik is also one of the most knowledgeable doctors in the world about all aspects of vaginismus. You will see and get to experience this first hand and, again, couldn’t be with a more caring and knowledgeable group of people. It will be a wonderful first trip to the US.

  As far as things to do, Janet’s link has so many things to do and places to visit in both the Manchester area as well as Boston and is a must read.

  As far as specific things you mentioned, here are some great ideas in the city of Boston:

  Cafes
  I would seriously suggest visiting Newbury Street in Boston for the best cafes and shopping around. Here is a review for just one of the many cafes on this street:

  Skating and Cinema

  We have a wonderful free newspaper in Manchester, NH called “The Hippo”. Every year The Hippo declares “The Best of” and is published in their newspaper and also on-line. To view the listing on-line please click on this link: http://hippopress.com/read-article/and-the-hippo-goes-to This is such a complete listing of all the highlights of Manchester and surrounding areas. The nice thing about this listing, is that you get links to the individual websites and telephone numbers. When you do arrive in Manchester, make sure you pick up a free copy of “The Hippo” as it should be available at most hotels and around Manchester. This will give you current events of things happening in Manchester.

  In response, India Palace was wonderful! Their lunch buffet was terrific.

  We stayed at La Quinta which was (literally) 2 minutes from the office. The staff was friendly, room was clean and spacious – and we are really picky travelers, so that’s saying a lot!
