The Sex Talk

Many of us have heard the camp song, “If all the raindrops were lemon drops and gum drops, Oh what a world that would be….” This song depicts an idealized picture of reality.

In a recent YouTube video called “What the Sex Talk Looks Like Now,” a father is attempting to have “The Talk” with his son probably much like his dad may or may not have had with him.

Some things never seem to change until they change! In this video, we can see how new terms, new frames of reference, and new descriptions have broadened and made these discussions more inclusive than in previous generations.

If you are concerned that your child is not as savvy as the child in the video you can turn to books such as Everything You Never Wanted Your Kids To Know About Sex (But Were Afraid They’d Ask) or any of the other wonderful options out there for parents.

Imagine a world where parents were able to have these conversations openly with their children without fear or embarrassment. Oh what a world this could be!

A safe and comfortable place to discuss vaginismus

The vaginismus forum at Maze Women’s Health is designed to bring women together. We understand that painful sex, vaginismus treatment, and the subsequent recovery can be sensitive topics, and you should have a safe and comfortable place to voice your experience, opinions, and concerns.

We envision this vaginismus forum as a place for you to introduce yourself, share your personal story, ask questions, and discuss any and all aspects of vaginismus, including our treatment options. We sincerely hope that you find this to be a comfortable place to discuss your struggles and triumphs as you navigate through vaginismus treatment. Talking through these issues with women that have gone through it can make all the difference.
