hello, my name's catherine...I go by Kit. I'm 21 and engaged to be married to my fiancé, clay, on march 26th of '21. for years, i've met only extreme pain in attempting to use a tampon, and only recently did I work up the nerve to go to my first gyno appt - to have my worst fears concerned and be diagnosed with vaginismus. I was prescribed physical floor therapy which I'm supposed to start this week sometime - and I'm told it could be up to 12 months before I have successful intercourse. It feels like a blow to my upcoming marriage (so far i've been sexually inactive) and honestly i'm just really struggling with feelings of self-worth and failure, even though I know this isn't my fault. looking for a community of support and help as I start what appears to be a long, slow journey of retraining my body.
