  Hi all. Every single time I hear of Dr. P treating a new vaginismus patient and I both write and read the outstanding success stories post-procedure, I am reminded of a beautiful story.

  The Starfish Story

  “A young girl was walking along a beach upon which thousands of starfish had been washed up during a terrible storm. When she came to each starfish, she would pick it up, and throw it back into the ocean. People watched her with amusement.

  She had been doing this for some time when a man approached her and said, Little girl, why are you doing this? Look at this beach! You can’t save all these starfish. You can’t begin to make a difference!

  The girl seemed crushed, suddenly deflated. But after a few moments, she bent down, picked up another starfish, and hurled it as far as she could into the ocean. Then she looked up at the man and replied, Well, I made a difference to that one!

  The man looked at the girl inquisitively and thought about what she had done and said. Inspired, he joined the little girl in throwing starfish back into the sea. Soon others joined, and all the starfish were saved.”

  Thank you so much Dr. P for truly caring so much about us, being so knowledgeable about the condition of vaginismus, giving us a voice, and working tirelessly to make the condition more known so no women has to ever suffer in silence again! Each and every time you do this, you continue to throw more starfish back into the ocean and I couldn’t be more thankful, inspired, and also motivated!!! Your actions truly have the power to inspire others to act in numbers significant enough to make a major impact!!

  Amen to that! I still dilate every day, but with each passing day, the worst part of the vaginismus struggle seems like a distant nightmare. We are truly grateful to Dr. P for everything he has done – it has altered my life in the most meaningful way.

  I second that! Thank you, Dr. Pacik, Janet and all of your staff! Because of you I actually feel like a real woman for the first time.

  I’d love to all continue to work together to make vaginismus more well-known as well as this treatment program. I can still recall reading many stories of women who discovered Dr. Pacik’s treatment program; had the procedure; and have now had successful intercourse and even children after reading about the treatment in the Cosmo article. http://www.vaginismusmd.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/09/Cosmopolitan-November11.pdf

  Does anyone have any media ties with Cosmo, Glamour, or other popular women’s magazines in which we could pitch an article about vaginismus and this treatment program? If so, this would be so, so wonderful. Just like the impact that the 2011 Cosmo article had on real women with vaginismus, a future article could surely do the same and we will all be contributing to throw more “Starfish” back into the sea.
