I saw the low level laser treatment on the Maze website as an alternative to vestibulectomy, for neuroproliferative vestibulodynia. I haven’t heard this mentioned anywhere else. I’m wondering about the success rate, and how many patients have successfully avoided a vestibulectomy long term?

We see the low level laser help 50% of the time.
Vestibulectomy does have higher success rate than the low level laser for neuroproliferative vestibulodynia.
But, trying the low level laser first can be a good option, as it does not do any damage to the tissue, and I have never seen it make pain increase. It will either help or not.
We do two treatments per week for three weeks, if we see improvement, we continue for another three weeks. If we don’t see any change after 6 session, we discontinue treatment.
