Hi Heather, I’m only 75 days post procedure but I always make sure I dilate before intercourse. It not only helps me get prepared “down there” but it also reminds my mind that I am able to insert something without pain. For me the mental part of it is huge. Even when we have intercourse I’m squinting waiting for it to hurt. Some day I know I will be able to forget all about Vaginismus and the pain that it has caused me all of these years but my mind still holds onto it.
