I have not experienced “estrogen cream stop working”. So, that would not be a concern of mine when prescribing it in the appropriate situations. I do think it could potentially help your vulvar pain if you continue on the oral contraceptives.

I think IUDs are wonderful birth control options for patients who have adverse reactions to oral birth control pills and also have sensitivity to condoms.
